Basil Zirinis has been a partner in S&C’s Estates and Personal Group since 1994 and leads its international private client practice from London and New York. He represents individuals, fiduciaries and family-controlled businesses throughout the world in a broad range of matters, including domestic and international estate and trust planning, family business governance and transition, estate and trust administration and litigation. He speaks regularly at international conferences regarding U.S. and international tax and estate planning.

Alvin is a Partner in the Specialist & Private Client Disputes and Private Wealth Practices. His main practice areas are in private wealth and commercial litigation. He regularly advises on succession trust and probate law, company and employment law, corporate and commercial disputes, and regulatory and compliance matters. In the private wealth space, he advises on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious areas. He advises high-net-worth individuals on succession planning and structuring of diverse asset classes in multiple jurisdictions. He also advises institutions, families and individuals in disputes relating to trust structures and fiduciary relationships, inheritance and estate matters, and vulnerable persons and mental capacity issues. Alice Dumoitier is a Client Services Director of Equiom (Jersey) Limited responsible for overseeing a portfolio of diverse HNW clients. Her accountancy background enables her to understand the detailed aspects of complex transactions and to provide invaluable guidance for her clients when considering tax and legal advice. With her detailed technical knowledge she assists clients in finding pragmatic solutions to issues as they arise, as well as keeping them abreast of ongoing legislative and regulatory changes. Working closely with our Asian offices, Alice acts as global relationship lead on a number of Equiom’s international/multi asset clients in Asia and the Middle East. As a professional director of a PTC she has been involved in complex litigation through which her experience as a professional trustee has helped guide both the family and her lay trustees through some very complex issues, giving her a unique perspective on contentious trust matters.

Adam initially qualified in London in 2004, then moved to Hong Kong in 2008 to join a leading local firm and qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong shortly afterwards. He joined an international firm in 2012 and was promoted to co-head the Hong Kong employment law practice, acting regularly for major global corporations and financial institutions. In 2014, Adam returned to a leading local firm where he was able to offer a broader selection of services to both individuals and to the business community. I have a broad commercial chancery practice. I have particular expertise in high-value, multi-jurisdictional offshore, trust, private client, civil fraud and commercial disputes. I act both as sole counsel and junior counsel as part of a team of barristers. In addition to regular appearances in both the Chancery Division and the Commercial Court, I have appeared in the Court of Appeal, the UK Supreme Court and the Privy Council. I also have substantial experience appearing in, or assisting with, cases in other jurisdictions, including Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, the BVI, Jersey, Guernsey, the Bahamas and Mauritius. Prior to coming to the Bar, I qualified as a solicitor at Freshfields, where I was involved in a broad range of transactional and contentious work.
