Short Biography

I am the Founding Partner of New Quadrant, a Family Office Fiduciary boutique firm specialising in assisting HNW and UHNW families manage their wealth across multiple generations. Initially a stockbroker but requalifying as a lawyer, I worked in commercial and leading private client firms before founding New Quadrant. New Quadrant is truly independent and our focus is on building a lifelong relationship of trust. The team shares the vision that wealthy families need a broader service than is often provided by the traditional law firm model. We aim to fulfil the role of trusted advisor to the families that we work with, providing guidance on all their legal and wealth management needs and sourcing the best team to achieve success. I have been named in both eprivateclient’s 50 Most Influential and Legal Week’s Global Elite, as well as being recognised by Citywealth in their PowerWomen awards.

What is your favorite restaurant to take a client or colleague to?

Location, location, location. Our Chancery Lane offices are a stones throw from a couple of favourites - Club Gascon and Brasserie Blanc.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Never put anything in writing to a client that you would not say to their face. Therefore avoid legal jargon.

What was your first job?

I started my career as a stockbroker but realised that my career would be subject to the vagaries of markets and preferred to advise clients on long term strategic issues.

What is the book you recommend to everyone?

The Metabolic approach to Cancer, by Nasha Winters. Might be the most life saving book you ever read.

What changes do you expect to see in your practice over the next year?

It is a very exciting time in New Quadrant’s development. We have spent the last couple of years reviewing our strengths and we have pivoted to position ourselves as being Family Office and Fiduciary in focus and providing four key areas of service: legal, trustee/executor, corporate and philanthropy. In the next twelve months we will be putting this strategy into action, ensuring that all our clients benefit from this broader offering.
