Short Biography

Michael is a trusted adviser to numerous, mostly European, private clients, their families and businesses. He has experience advising on a wide range of UK and international matters involving tax, estate planning and succession issues. Having studied and worked in various European countries, Michael is fluent in French and Italian and speaks good Spanish and basic German. Michael has won a number of prestigious legal awards and is ranked in the leading directories with Legal 500 citing his technical knowledge coupled with his language skills and describing him as 'very pragmatic and efficient on cross-border situations between the UK and continental Europe'. He is also a regular speaker at industry events (recent engagements include STEP and IBA conferences), writes extensively and has been quoted in a number of publications, including The Financial Times, The Times and Spear's.

What is your favorite restaurant to take a client or colleague to?

It is impossible to have ONE favourite in London! I have an ever-expanding list which covers almost any cuisine - just ask me!

What changes do you expect to see in your practice over the next year?

The last few years have reminded private client lawyers the importance of hoping for the best and planning for the worst. We will not be able to forget that mantra quite yet. Clients are going to expect us to be more responsive, creative and proactive than ever before.
