Short Biography

Building on twenty-five years practicing law in Delaware and more than twenty-two years as a corporate fiduciary, in 2023 Dan Lindley launched his professional fiduciary business, DFL Fiduciary Services, LLC, to serve as an independent fiduciary in Delaware and other jurisdictions. During his eighteen years at Northern Trust Company, Dan was the founding partner of The Northern Trust Company of Delaware and served as its first president until 2012. Dan next served in London as the managing director for the EMEA Region of Northern’s Global Family Offices (GFO) business. There, he oversaw the development and administration of its London and Guernsey- based custody and fiduciary business for clients of significant wealth. Following his return from London, Dan was Fiduciary Practice Lead and then Director of Fiduciary Consulting for GFO, often working with global clients to ensure that their family trusts were efficiently governed in a suitable jurisdiction. Along the way, Dan developed an expertise in private trust companies, their structure and governance.
