What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

I am conducting a long remote trial of a major offshore trust dispute in the Supreme Court of the Bahamas from England where I am bubbling with my team, and with witnesses in Bahamas, England and Australia giving evidence remotely.

How did you get into private client?

It is self-selecting. When I was fairly junior, I did a lot of structuring and tax planning work. As I became more senior, people realised I was better at going to court! However, it was worthwhile to understand the structuring behind the litigation.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

Always add value in anything you do on a matter.

What is your favourite quote?

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It is about learning to dance in the rain." Vivienne Greene.

Do you have any outside interests or hobbies?

I used to – and then the children came along! I do enjoy gardening, when I have time.

When the restaurants reopen, where would you like to go?

Steak on the Green, Ealing.
