What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

I developed my practice in modern, creative forms of dispute resolution methods which are tailored to the needs of HNW individuals, including private negotiation hearings and round-table meetings. I believe that such practices represent the future of family law, particularly for the unique requirements of domestic and international HNW clients as they offer greater privacy, expediency, flexibility and a reliably high-quality service. Though confidentiality precludes me from giving precise examples, the highlight of my practice over the last 12 months has been working to achieve a number of positive settlements in complex cases involving trusts and corporate assets, with an international dimension.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

Whilst there is inevitably a hell of a lot to learn from the old guard, it is important to think about how the market is changing and to develop your own style which is sensitive to that, rather than merely copying what has been done before.

What is your favourite quote?

It is better to have an ending with pain than endless pain.
