Our UHNWI business has been built 100% upon referrals from existing clients and other advisors within our substantial network.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

It’s important to implement prudent planning early on without getting too far ahead of yourself.

What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

Helping a billionaire family office client launch a private trust company with support services from Northern Trust (data aggregation and reporting, fiduciary consulting)

How did you get into private client?

It was quite by accident. I was in private law practice when the Vice Chairman of U.S. Trust Company asked me to consider joining its brand new Delaware affiliate. The rest is history.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

Acquire a passion for lifelong learning.
