What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?
I became a partner as of January 2020. This is extremely rewarding for me since I started with the firm in 2013, shortly after it launched, and have contributed to its growth and the position it has forged for itself in the French market.
What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?
I believe that new lawyers in this field should realise that the private client world is evolving and now extends to a broader clientele that includes new business leaders and entrepreneurs. It is important today for legal advisors to take a cross-disciplinary approach to fully grasp the interrelated business aspects and personal wealth strategies of this new generation of private clients in order to effectively meet all their needs.

What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?
In addition to many successful assignments this past year, advising private clients on their strategic business and personal wealth strategies, including heads of CAC 40 companies as well as up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?
The private client legal market is evolving and is not limited to historically wealthy individuals and families, but now includes a new generation of business leaders, particularly those who have built their wealth in technology and innovative sectors. It will be important for private client legal advisers to adapt to this new generation whose personal wealth strategies are intertwined with their business and corporate governance decision-making.
What is your favourite quote?
“Beyond decision-making, creativity needs to be cultivated by gathering and developing one’s curiosity while still maintaining technical know-how, and never ceasing to experiment. What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?
The last 12 months we have organised the transfer of the holding company of a very prominent UK family from an offshore jurisdiction to Switzerland - an ongoing project for more than 12 months.
How did you get into private client?
I started as a corporate and tax lawyer many years ago and my clients were very successful entrepreneurs – they then sold their businesses. I was then faced with structuring their family offices. When you do it a couple of times, you realise the clients talk to one another and the work develops from there.
What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?
Stick to your values, be a hard worker and be patient.
