Why did you become a lawyer?

It was a childhood dream!

Who had the biggest influence on your career?

My father, who as the father of 3 girls, encouraged me to break down the gender barriers and push for what I wanted to achieve.

What is your proudest professional moment?

Being elected Batonnier of the Gernsey Bar but also winning the Guernsey Pro bono award.

What was your worst day at work?

When my close friend and colleague left to relocate to Cayman!

What advice would you give a trainee just starting out?

Try working in all different areas to see which you enjoy most and have the most passion for.

Did you have a mentor who supported you in your early career? What was the most valuable thing they taught you?

To always have an eye on the bigger picture and the strategy so as to avoid going down rabbit holes!

What do you think will be the most significant trend in your practice over the next 12 months?

A move towards more funded litigation.

Married at First Sight - a guilty pleasure!

What do you do when you're not working? Any hobbies?

I have recently taken up golf, but am pretty terrible at it!

What would you do if you weren't a lawyer?

Run a hotel.

Where can you see yourself in ten, twenty, thirty or years? (you can pick one!)

In 30 years, assuming I am still alive(!) I hope to be retired somewhere nice and warm.
