Professional Biography

Prior to joining KCO, Aditi secured her Masters of Law degree from Harvard Law School. She works closely with HNIs, promoters with well-established business – both listed companies and others, entrepreneurs, fund managers to plan their succession and Indian estate efficiently. She regularly advises on issues pertaining to testamentary succession, obtaining probates, preparing asset transfer plans, structuring onshore and offshore trusts. Her keen interest in international laws enables her to advise on cross-border migration and relocation planning, tax structuring, foreign domicile, asset disclosures, CRS and FATCA as well as exchange controls. She has developed a focus on advising families and first-time entrepreneurs with trust structures (pre-IPO trusts, spousal benefit trusts) where asset protection is key. Aditi has been invited to speak at various national fora on succession planning. She has authored various India chapters and articles on succession planning, Indian laws and emerging trends in private client practice in India.

Greater focus among family held businesses to streamline ownership, bigger push to build offshore capital and trust structuring for estate-duty protection (if it will be re-introduced)
