High net worth divorce
Nuptial agreement
Complex private law children disputes, often with a foreign element

What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

My practice in the last 12 months has been a good blend of complex, high net worth litigation, involving leading Silks; and mediating wealthy couples who want to reach their own agreements and keep their private affairs out of the court forum.

How did you get into private client?

I qualified into Family Law 25 years ago and have never looked back.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

Be adaptable and embrace different types of solutions. The lawyers who are thriving are those who are adaptable – offering pro bono services to some, unbundled legal services to others, and the full Rolls-Royce service to those who can afford it.

What is your favourite quote?

“One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals." Michelle Obama.

Do you have any outside interests or hobbies?

Running; lobbying around family law issues; following Manchester United.

When the restaurants reopen, where would you like to go?

The Salt Room, Brighton.
