Trusts and probate disputes

What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

I am a court appointed administrator in a complex, multi-jurisdictional probate dispute, dealing with an estate which has been fought over by two warring families.

How did you get into private client?

It was a gradual, unplanned process. I joined our litigation practice in 1994 and I spent 10 years or so, doing general litigation work which included trusts and probate disputes. I found myself particularly enjoying this area of the law and decided to make this my main area of specialisation. When I made this decision 15 years ago there were only two of us doing this type of work. There are now 20 of us.

Do you have any outside interests or hobbies?

Gardening is a passion. I have also always enjoyed playing and watching sport and fishing. Indoors, cooking keeps me amused.

When the restaurants reopen, where would you like to go?

Our local Italian in Battersea with my children.
