Commercial litigation
Trust disputes

What has been the highlight of your practice over the past 12 months?

Two rather substantial trust problems, each in one of the Channel Islands.

How did you get into private client?

I started in a commercial set in 1 Hare Court. In the late 1990’s, we merged with a set in Lincoln’s Inn, which did a lot of trust litigation – this later became Serle Court. I started to do trust litigation at this point.

What advice would you give rising stars/new lawyers in the private client world?

Work hard and always be available for your clients. Pay attention to detail and to personalities.

What is your favourite quote?

“What is truth?”

Do you have any outside interests or hobbies?

Sailing and music. I had a misspent youth and my first degree was in music.

When the restaurants reopen, where would you like to go?

The local Indian restaurant.
