After 20+ years of practice with international law firms in Asia, Europe, and the US, and most recently as Co-Head of the Private Client Group of a 4500+ attorney firm, Todd founded a specialized practice, BMT International, to serve the legal and tax needs of a diverse client base with global business and investment activities largely in Asia and the US, as well as Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

With a practice focuses on international issues, Todd represents the interests of high net worth individuals and families, their family controlled businesses, as well as private banks and financial institutions, foundations, trusts and family offices on a wide variety of tax, business and private client matters.

Todd often provides international tax advice for establishing and operating multinational businesses as well as specialised advice on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other restructuring activities. He regularly advises clients with interests in the real estate and fund sectors, especially on crossborder investments and establishing private equity funds.

In addition to counselling and planning, Todd regularly represents trustees, beneficiaries, protectors and other fiduciaries in fiduciary litigation. In addition, Todd defends tax audits and represents clients in other tax controversy matters, including prosecuting refund claims.
